Emperor Maximilian’s Cenotaph is housed in te e‘Hofkirche’ (Court Chruch) in Innsbruck, Austria, built in 1553. The cenotaph is surrounded by twenty-eight bronze statues of ancestors, relatives and important historical figures. Created between 1502 and 1555, the sculptors included Peter Vischer the Elder, Hans Leinberger, G. Löfler, Leonhart Magt and Veit Stoẞ. Three of the statues are based on designs by Dürer.
