Circa 1600 AD
This fine bust of a Bacchante with a garland of grapes around his neck is cast in the manner of Niccolo Roccatagliata whose workshop in Venice around 1600 produced four other known examples of this model: two in collections in Vienna, one in a private collection in New York and one in the Cleveland Museum of Art in Ohio.
