The dog ‘Nu’ is considered a great friend of man and in its presence disguised cats, badgers and foxes are forced to retake their own shape. The dog is one of the twelve signs of the zodiac indicating the hours between 7pm and 9pm. They are held in high esteem by pregnant women and dog amulets are given to children as it is believed that dogs have an easy life.
