Just as the Buffalo was the mainstay of life to the Native American Indians of the Plains so the walrus was to the Eskimo Inuit of the Arctic. Every part of the animal was used for food or for another specific purpose. The Arctic seas are so cold that the male walrus can only mate by means of a large penis bone, which happens to be the most naturally and perfectly formed hand-held club.
