A pair of fragmentary French Burgundian carved limestone figures

Early 16th CENTURY

Size: 40cm high and 39cm high
These distinctive Burgundian figures have been carved for a niche
around a tomb in a church. One female and one male, they probably
represent saints. There are distinct traces of polychrome decoration
and old gilding.
