Decorated with geometric designs front and back with brass beads, thimbles and bells attached to sinew strings interspersed with large blue opaque glass trade beads
Circa 1870
Size: 33 cm long – 13 ins long
The lack of pockets in native garments helps to explain the development of a variety of bags and pouches that were worn suspended from the neck, shoulder or belt. In earlier times these long belt pouches were made from the whole skins of small animals.
