Collected in Paraguay in 1928 this shell has a rich and smooth silky patina. 'Must haves' as naturalia for cabinets of curiosities throughout history, one of these blond turtle shells can be seen hanging on 'Ole Worm's' Museum wall in an engraving of 1655.
