Stylistically this beautiful carving of a traditional married Zulu women with her typical flaring hairstyle from the Kwa-Zulu Natal bears the trademark of the 'Baboon Master'. Evident is his tall and slender, compact treatment of form and delicately carved facial features of the woman. Her gently swollen abdomen suggesting pregnancy and thus maternity.
