2¾ ins wide x 1¼ ins high x 2¼ ins deep
The Hohenzollerns had a habit of collecting precious objects and sent out agents across Europe to 'purchase rarities and strange objects'. The origins of their Bradenburg Kunstkammer are now shrouded in darkness, little is known about its location and most of the original inventories were lost during World War II, although a few objects remain in the the Berlin museums.
This amusing goldsmiths creation is typical of the object so desired by the princely collector for his kunstkammer.
