Literature

Lyon worked in Dublin and Liverpool as a sculptor and wax modeller. Whilst he was at the Liverpool Academy he showed a number of wax busts in full round relief often with loosely finished shoulders. His bust of Sir William Cusack-Smith (1834) finely executed in an identical style is illustrated in E.J Pyke, Biographical Lexicon of Wax Modelling No. 180.
